Janice Clark and Dr. Tom McKean are launching a monthly ballad singing circle in the upstairs lounge in the Blue Lamp Aberdeen, on the last Thursday of every month beginning on Thursday 30th June, from 8-9pm?
The North-East has been described as “The Ballad Capital of Scotland”, and many of the songs were collected here. You can’t travel anywhere in the area without finding placenames relating to ballads.
